Baking Connections
In seventh grade, I came across a group of friends (Sam Zhong, Erin Li, Meg Xu), and we shared similar interests related to baking and giving back to our community. We decided to create an organization in HKIS called Baking Connections, and our goal for our organization is to bridge gaps in our community and help those in need. We started a club for students to bake treats for our community, gave cake pops to teachers on Teacher's Appreciation Week, started a bake sale to raise money for Mighty Oaks, and much more!

Baking Connections Club
Baking is a great way to bring people together. In HKIS, my friends and I started a club called Baking Connections, and we strive to bring people together by baking sweet treats for them. The students in our club not only learned how to make small baked goods, but they also gave back to our community by baking for our teachers and faculty!
Mighty Oaks Foundation
Mighty Oaks Foundation is an organization devoted to helping elderly homes in HK and bring people from different generations together. During the pandemic, we worked with Mighty Oaks to donate money to them by starting a bake sale, hosting a baking workshop for the elderly, and baking treats for the careworkers in elderly homes!
